Construction of 18 Celebration Street

Here is the development progress of 18 Celebration Street (aka unit 54, block 6B). The numbers at the end of the line are links to pictures.

• April 13 - April 19: A hole in the ground. [1] [2]

• April 20 - April 26: Some gravel in the hole in the ground. [3] [4]

• April 27 - May 3: The plumbing and electrical pipes are in the ground. [5] [6]

• May 4 - May 10: Footings are in. The forms for the basement walls there ready. [7] [8]

• May 11 - May 17: A basement and floor. It rained overnight so you can see water around the drain in picture 11. [9] [10] [11]

• May 18 - May 24: First storey it built. [12] [13] [14] [15]

• May 25 - May 31: Second storey is built. The street is now packed gravel. [16] [17] [18]

• June 1 - June 7: There's the start of the roof and some windows. Duct work started. The street is now paved (first coat). [19] [20] [21]

• June 8 - June 14: The roof is mostly shingled. The duct work is complete with the furnace installed. The plumbing is ready for fixtures (except downstairs bathroom). Stairs (up and down) installed. All the windows are installed. [22] [23] [24] [25]

• June 15 - June 21: Roof is finished being shingled (except the garage). Bricks are on the garage and the first storey of the front of the house. [26] [27] [28] [29]

• June 20 - June 28: Pipes for central vacuum installed. Strapping is on the ceiling on the second floor. Electrical/phone/cable/cat5/speaker wiring done. Garage floor has been graveled. Support post installed on front deck. [30] [31]

• June 29 - July 5: Insulation installed throughout (except roof). Vapour barrier installed on 2nd floor and basement. Bathtub installed. Bricks installed around support post on front deck and on second storey of front. Siding done one most of the back. Drywall is waiting. Hotwater tank installed. Garage floor now concrete. • July 6 - July 12: Strapping installed on ceiling of first floor. Drywall installed throughout (except basement stairs) with first coat of plaster. Shingling started on garage roof. Small deck installed out back. Siding finished on back. Soffits installed on back, part of front. Stair from house to garage installed. [36] [37] [38] [39]

• July 13 - July 19: Soffit installation completed. Garage roof finished. Trim installed. Base coat of paint on. Ceiling painted. Kitchen cabinets partially installed. Shelves in MBR cupboard installed. Doors installed thoughout (even at top of basement stairs -- which is not supposed to be there). Bathroom cabinets installed. Driveway and walkway graveled. • July 20 - July 26: The finally drywalled the basement stairs. Tiles, railing, linoleum, hardware floors installed. Railings installed. etc. Electrical outlets and most fixtures done. Needs a lot of paint touchups. [43] [44]

• July 27 - July 28: Fixtures installed. [45]

• July 29, 10:00: Pre-delivery inspection.

• July 29, 14:00: Appointment with the lawyer

• July 29 - July 30: Stained floor. Fixed problems as listed on the problem page.

• July 30 - 16:50: Picked up keys from lawyer.
